If you’ve always dreamed of a straighter, more even smile, Invisalign(™) might be for you. Using a series of nearly invisible dental aligners, we can help you sculpt the smile you’ve always wished for, while bypassing the discomfort - and occasional pain - and self-consciousness that comes with traditional metal braces and retainers.
What Invisalign(™) Can Do
Invisalign(™) is a treatment offered by Neumann & Bohrer Family Dentistry to patients who might otherwise need braces, retainers or other corrective equipment to improve the natural spacing of their teeth or bite issues that range from merely cosmetic to those that interfere with daily life.
Some examples include mild to moderate:
- Spacing issues
Am I Eligible?
You might be eligible for Invisalign(™) treatment if you experience mild to moderate cosmetic or functional issues relating to the spacing of your teeth, or cosmetic issues that make you too self-conscious to show your smile to the world.
If your teeth and gums are fairly healthy, you’re probably able to use Invisalign(™). If you’re experiencing pain, discomfort or other issues, you might still be able to use Invisalign(™) but may need other treatments before starting.
Invisalign(™) has many advantages over traditional metal braces. The most obvious is appearance: unless someone is looking very closely, they won’t be able to tell you’re straightening your smile.
Other advantages of Invisalign(™) include:
Unlike traditional braces, the transparent Invisalign(™) trays are smooth with no protruding metal pieces to snag your gums, lips or tongue.
Invisalign(™) aligners are removable so you can clean your teeth and gums thoroughly every day. No flossing around hardware, no brushing to the best of your ability - simply remove the trays and brush, floss and rinse as you normally would. You can also clean the trays themselves to remove food particles, biofilm and plaque buildup.
Those wearing traditional braces have to swear off foods that may harm their corrective hardware, or worry constantly when participating in contact sports or hobbies that include extensive use of the mouth (such as playing a musical instrument). Patients using Invisalign(™) can simply remove their trays to indulge in a favorite food or engage in an activity where traditional braces would have been a hindrance.
With so many advantages, it’s tough to wait to start treatment. Your first step is booking an appointment for an exam to determine whether Invisalign(™) is the best approach for your unique needs. You may need a cleaning or other treatments before starting to correct your smile with Invisalign(™).
Invisalign(™) isn’t the best fit for everyone - and that can only be determined after an exam. If we find that Invisalign(™) isn't right for you, Neumann & Bohrer Family Dentistry offers a variety of treatment options, making it easy to choose the method that’s best for your individual needs.
